Current Journals

Current journals are available for browsing. Some journals are available electronically via www.lib.nus.edu.sg  

General Reading Section

The books in this Section are for your leisure reading. These include works of fiction, biographies and self-help books.

Chinese Collection

This section contains a select collection that supports the APEX MBA programme and other Chinese language based Business School programmes. 

Bound Journals

Bound Journals have a loan period of 1 day for students and 3 days for teaching staff; overdue fines are $1.00 per day. These are earlier issues of journals bound together. Some of these are available electronically.

Books Collection

The books here are organized using the Library of Congress Classification System.
These books can be borrowed at the Self-Service Borrowing machines on 1st Storey or at the Loans Desk near the entrance.  

Reading Area

The reading area on this floor is meant for browsing and reading the library’s collection. If you need to use your laptops, please use the reading areas at 1st and 2nd Storey.

Training Room

The Training Room is equipped with 30 PCs with network printing facility. This room is for librarians to conduct hands-on library tutorials for NUS staff and students
When there are no library programmes, it is open to students as a computer cluster.

Discussion Rooms 1 – 11

Discussion Rooms are available for group work or study. 
Groups of 3 or more students can book the rooms using the online booking system under General Facilities Booking on NUS homepage. Each booking is for a 2-hour slot; each student can make one booking per week. 

Quiet Room

This room is designated as a quiet reading room and no-click zone. Students are encouraged to do their quiet study and not use gadgets that will disturb other users.  
There is another quiet room at 2nd Storey where powerpoints are installed at individual cubicles.
