The entire library is equipped with Wireless Access Points to enable NUS staff and students to connect to the campus network, NUSNET.

Angsana 1 and 2

Named after the grand, old Angsana tree that stands in the Lower Quadrangle of the campus, these multifunctional rooms are available for use by NUS staff and students. These rooms will be converted to quiet reading rooms 2 months before exams. View photos of the rooms on our Facebook page.

Angsana 2 open until 1 hour before library closing time

Opening hours during vacation:
Angsana 1 open 24/7
Angsana 2 closed.

Book Chute

The book chute is located on the basement level just outside the C J Koh Law Library's back entrance. When the library is closed, books (except media an RBR materials) may be returned via the book chute.

Current Journals

This section holds current issues of periodicals including law journals, law reports, legislation and other official documents. The location code of this collection in LINC is LW Current Journals.

E-Resource PCs

The networked PCs in this section may be used to access the NUS Libraries' E-Resources

Fines Payment Booth

Patrons can pay library fines by EZ-Link card or NETS FlashPay. FlashPay top-up is available in the Photocopy Room.

We provide assistance with

Legislation/Law Reports

This is an extensive collection of legislation and law reports of countries including Australia, Canada, India and the United Kingdom. European Union and United Nations materials are also shelved in this collection. The location code of this collection in LINC is LW Legislation/Reports.
Note: Most of the United States primary law collection is housed in the Law Library's Closed Stacks.

LINC Terminals

LINC is the online Library INtegrated Catalogue of the NUS Libraries ( It contains records of books, periodicals, theses, multimedia materials, e-resources, etc. available in the NUS Libraries.

Loans Desk

At the Loans Desk

  • check out, check in or renew books from the open shelves. Alternatively, borrow books using the self-checkout machine
  • request for local newspapers (30 min. loan)
  • request for DVDs and CDs
  • report loss of items, including library books and library cards.

Various library services are also available online. You may

  • check your loan record, renew books & view library fines via myLINC
  • request for materials from the Closed Stacks collection via LINC. See the FAQ for the Closed Stacks collection schedule.

Network Printers

Print jobs may be sent to the 2 printers from all PCs and laptops in the Law Library. Payment for printing is by EZ-Link card or Nets FlashPay.

PC Cluster

The computers in this area are linked to the campus network, NUSNET. For assistance, contact the NUS ITCare helpdesk at 6516 2080 or send an to NUS ITCare .

Photocopy Services

Payment for photocopying is by EZ-Link or Nets FlashPay. Nets FlashPay top-up is available in the Photocopy Room. Assistance with photocopying is provided during normal office hours. Please observe the Copyright Act and library rules on the Copying of Library Materials.

RBR (Reserve Books and Readings)

The reserve or "red-spot" collection contains reading materials recommended by teaching staff of NUS Law. Materials with LINC location code LW RBR are available for 2-hour or overnight loan. A selection of these recommended materials is also available for 7-day loan. The location code for these materials in LINC is LW RBR (1-week loan).

RBR materials (with the exception of Singapore statutes kept behind the Loans Desk) are now housed in a self-service loans facility.

Reference Collection

This section houses legal reference materials including encyclopaedias, digests, indexes, citators, dictionaries and directories. The location codes for this collection in LINC are LW Reference 1 and LW Reference 2.

Singapore-Malaysia Collection

This collection comprises mainly legal materials relating to Singapore and Malaysia. The location code of this collection in LINC is LW Singapore-Malaysia Collection.

Theses Collection
NUS Law theses and academic exercises are housed in this section. Please note that theses may only be read in the library. The location code of this collection in LINC is LW Theses. NUS Law theses (LLM & PhD) and directed research dissertations are available through ScholarBank from 2003 and 2018 respectively.
