NUS Libraries

Central Library is a multi-disciplinary library serving all NUS staff and students and primarily those from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering, the School of Computing and the School of Design and Environment.

Opening Hours

From 8th May 2017 to 11th August 2017

  • Monday to Friday : 8.30am to 7pm
  • Saturday: 10am to 5pm
  • Sunday & Public Holidays: Closed

  • CD-ROM Databases
  • Singapore/Malaysia Collection
  • NUS Publications
  • Rare Books Collection
    The Rare Books Collection consists mainly of first, limited or special editions of books covering various disciplines and bearing imprint dates from around the seventeenth to the early twentieth century. Included are titles on early voyages of discovery to the Malay Archipelago and folio books with beautiful illustrations in colour of the flora and fauna of this region.

Apart from offering basic library services, the Central Library also provides:

  • Information literacy
  • Indexing of periodical literature for architecture, building, humanities and social sciences for PERIND
